Netting of stored energy<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Electricity Market Act allows users of energy storage units to calculate the network service transmission charge, the renewable energy charge and the security of supply charge on the basis of netted quantities of electricity.<\/p>\n

Netting means<\/strong>\u00a0that the quantities of electricity taken from the network and fed into the network are compared with each other. The quantities measured during the month are aggregated. If the quantity of energy taken from the network is greater than the quantity fed into the network, the\u00a0difference between those quantities constitutes netted energy<\/strong>, on the basis of which kilowatt-hour-based charges are applied.<\/p>\n

Netting is carried out after the network contract providing for netting enters into force and is performed on a calendar month basis.<\/p>\n

Who is eligible for netting and under what conditions?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Netting may be implemented on a network connection for which, in addition to consumption conditions,\u00a0electricity production conditions<\/strong>\u00a0have been agreed and where the\u00a0use of the storage unit forms part of those production conditions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Netting can take place only if the use of an energy storage unit has been agreed in the network contract and the metering point meets\u00a0one<\/strong>\u00a0of the following conditions.<\/p>\n
